​GitHub Copilot, developed by GitHub and OpenAI, is an AI-powered coding assistant that supports developers by generating code suggestions in real-time based on natural language and programming context. As part of our research group, Generative AI Applications in Information Systems, we explore tools like Copilot to investigate how generative AI can transform software engineering, automating code generation, improving developer productivity, and supporting agile practices. Our research includes studying its role in teaching, enhancing code quality, and enhancing the software development lifecycle across diverse information systems domains.​
