The University of Jordan, through the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, organized an online workshop titled "Generative AI Tools: Practical Applications and Ethical Considerations" on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM via Microsoft Teams. The workshop was led by Dr. Tahani Al-Khatib, a faculty member from the Department of Computer Information Systems at the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology. The workshop covered four main themes: an introduction to artificial intelligence and its types, the emergence and impact of generative AI, hands-on exploration of popular tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Poe, Luma AI, Eleven Labs, and Playground, and a discussion on ethical concerns and future challenges related to AI use.
