The University of Jordan, through the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, organized an online workshop titled "Generative AI Tools: Practical Applications and Ethical Considerations" on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM via Microsoft Teams. The workshop was led by Dr. Tahani Al-Khatib, a faculty member from the Department of Computer Information Systems at the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology. The workshop covered four main themes: an introduction to artificial intelligence and its types, the emergence and impact of generative AI, hands-on exploration of popular tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Poe, Luma AI, Eleven Labs, and Playground, and a discussion on ethical concerns and future challenges related to AI use. The event targeted educators, researchers, and professionals seeking to enhance their understanding of AI’s potential and responsibly integrate these technologies into their work​
