Rana Yousef is an associate professor of software engineering in the computer information systems department, King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, the University of Jordan. She attained her BSc and MSc in computer science from the University of Jordan, and her PhD in software engineering from the University of the West of England-Bristol/UK in 2010. Her research interests are focused on requirements engineering, business process modeling, project management, ontology development, and recently, she has developed a keen interest in exploring the applications of generative AI to find innovative solutions for problems across various domains including software engineering, healthcare, and e-learning​
