​Prof. Mohammed Salameh Al-Allawi holds a bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Jordan in plant protection and completed his PhD from the University of Guelph in Canada with a specialization in pest control. He has worked at Al-Balqa Applied University since 2004 as a faculty member, head of the Department of Plant Production and Protection, Vice Dean of Graduate Studies, Vice Dean as well as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Technology. He Participated in many international, regional and local scientific conferences, workshops and training courses.  Research interests include the development of pest control methods that are safe for human health and the environment such as microbial control and integrated pest management. He participated in the editorial boards of many refereed scientific journals as well as in committees at the university level or governmental institutions such as the Scientific Research Support Fund / Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Environment. He has published about 40 scientific papers in refereed scientific journals.
