About:

Iman AlMomani is the ICE research group Leader. She is a full Professor of Cybersecurity in the Computer Science Department at the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, University of Jordan. Iman obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from the United Arab Emirates University and the University of Jordan in 2000 and 2002, respectively. She earned her PhD from De Montfort University in the United Kingdom (UK) in Wireless Network Security in 2007.

Significant leadership roles mark Iman's professional journey. In 2019, she assumed the position of Head of the Computer Science Department at the University of Jordan. During her sabbatical outside Jordan, she was the founder and the leader of a specialized research laboratory called the Security Engineering Lab (SEL)  in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her leadership spanned nearly eight years as Associate Director of the Research and Initiatives Center (RIC) at Prince Sultan University (PSU). She also served as the Director of the Intellectual Property Office for two years and as the Head of the Computer Science and Software Engineering Department for four years, culminating in the department's attainment of ABET accreditation.

In 2023 and 2024, she was ranked by Stanford University as one of the top 2% of scientists worldwide in her field. Iman's research interests span a broad spectrum, including cybersecurity in networks, particularly the security of wireless, vehicular, ad hoc, and sensor networks (WSNs), as well as multimedia (VoIP) networks and the Internet of Things (IoT). She is also experienced in Malware analysis and Android security, and has extensive practical experience in cybersecurity maturity assessments for institutions and artificial intelligence applications in cybersecurity, including both offensive and defensive systems.

Iman has over 90 research publications in the fields above in high-ranking journals and prestigious international and local conferences. These journals are mainly indexed in ISI and Scopus (Q1 and Q2). She has secured 11 funded research projects to date. Iman has supervised and examined more than 50 Master's and PhD students. She is a member of the organizational and technical committees of several local and international conferences. Additionally, she serves as a reviewer and member of the editorial board for several international journals. Iman is also a Senior member of IEEE and IEEE WIE. Iman holds cybersecurity certifications from major global companies such as EC-Council, IBM, and Palo Alto and an intellectual property certificate from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).​
