The  Jordan Nursing Council held a specialized national workshop on Wednesday, aimed at developing the general framework of the nursing residency program, with the participation of representatives and experts in the nursing profession. Dr. Waddah D'emeh represented University of Jordan in this workshop.

The workshop witnessed extensive discussions on the proposed national foundations and standards for the design of the residency program, ways to ensure the quality of training and supervision, evaluation and follow-up mechanisms, and reviewing leading international experiences in this field, with the aim of benefiting from them in building a distinct Jordanian model that meets the needs of the local health system.​
