Dr Al Jafari obtained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Jordan in 2008. Following graduation, he worked briefly in private practice and then joined the University of Jordan as a teaching assistant. Realising his interest in teaching and research, especially in the field of Paediatric Dentistry, he travelled to the United Kingdom where he obtained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS) and completed an MSc and PhD in Paediatric Dentistry from King's College London. His postgraduate education included training to become a Paediatric Dentistry Specialist. In his postgraduate research he explored approaches to caries prevention in children undergoing treatment under general anaesthesia. 

Dr Al Jafari works as Consultant at Jordan University Hospital and Associate Professor of Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Jordan. He is involved in teaching, clinical training, and research. He gained further experience in providing support to students by serving as Assistant Dean for almost four years. The focus of his research has been on oral health promotion and approaches to caries prevention, especially the use of serious games for oral health education.
