About:
Professor Lamis D. Rajab earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Certificate of Higher Education; Group A (Dental Material), and Certificate of Higher Education; Group B (Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry), all from The University of Bordeaux II, France. She also earned her PhD in Pediatric Dentistry from The University of Paris V, France.
She joined the University of Jordan’s Department of Pediatric Dentistry, School of Dentistry and was promoted to Professor in 2003. She held several key positions at UJ including Chairwoman of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Vice Dean for Academic and Administrative Affairs, School of Dentistry, Dean of the School of Dentistry, and Vice President for Health Schools and University Hospital.
Professor Rajab served on several councils and committees at The University of Jordan and local organizations. She was/is a member of several councils and committees including The Board of The Accreditation and quality assurance Commission, the Board of Trustees of Petra and Isra University, the Higher Committee and Scientific Committee for Dentistry of The Jordan Medical Council, the Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Committee of the Scientific Research Support Fund, and the Jordanian Dental Association. She also served on the Judging Committee of Abdul Hameed Shoman Prize for Medical Sciences. She was also a temporary advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO).
She is a well-published researcher and has supervised several thesis and dissertations. She is ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide, identified by their career-long impact, published by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier. She received the French Grade d’officier de l’ordre des palmes académiques (Grade Officer of the Order of Academic Palms).
