​Professor Zaid Hani Baqain is currently Director of the Office of the Crown Prince at the Royal Hashemite Court of Jordan and an internationally recognized academic and oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the School of Dentistry, The University of Jordan (on unpaid leave), and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, with specialist registration in Jordan, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. He was formerly Deputy Vice Chancellor for International Relations at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), where he also served as Dean of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine and Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Professor Baqain previously held senior leadership roles at The University of Jordan, including Vice President for Scientific Schools, Dean of the School of Dentistry, and Director of Dentistry at Jordan University Hospital. A highly cited researcher listed on Jordan’s Highly Cited Researchers roster, he has an h-index of 22 and an extensive publication record in oral and maxillofacial surgery, dental education, and health systems.​
