The Paediatric Dentistry team and postgraduate students at the University of Jordan held a seminar titled: Clinical Applications of Silver Diamine Fluoride in Modern Dentistry.
This seminar provided an in-depth overview of the use of silver diamine fluoride (SDF) as a minimally invasive treatment for caries management. Designed for postgraduate dentists, the session covered the mechanism of action, clinical indications, application protocols, and safety considerations of SDF. Participants also explored case-based discussions on managing caries in children, medically compromised patients, and high-risk adults, alongside the latest evidence on SDF’s effectiveness and integration into comprehensive treatment plans.
