1. On March 25, 2024, our study titled 'Blood Pressure Difference Between Pre- and Post-Menopausal Women and Age-Matched Men: A Cross-Sectional Study at a Tertiary Center' was accepted for publication in The Journal of Clinical Hypertension. This research, conducted at a tertiary center, explored the differences in blood pressure between pre- and post-menopausal women and compared them to age-matched men. A team of medical students, including Osama Alzoubi, Leen Alfaris, Mohammad Abdulelah, Saleh Altarawneh, and Mohammad Alzoubi, played a vital role in this project. Their contributions ranged from collecting data from participants and measuring blood pressure to conducting an extensive literature review and performing statistical analysis. Their active participation was essential to the success of the study and provided them with valuable hands-on research experience in the field of hypertension.
2. In December, 2022, our study titled 'Hypertension and Depression among Medical Students: Is There an Association?' was published in Heliyon. This research explored the potential link between hypertension and depression among medical students. A dedicated team of medical students, including Reem Akiely, Bayan Abdallah, Saja Alkhalaileh, and Nada Hajjaj, played a crucial role in this project. Their contributions ranged from collecting data from fellow medical student participants and measuring blood pressure to conducting an extensive literature review. Their active involvement provided them with valuable practical research experience, particularly in understanding the relationship between mental health and cardiovascular risk factors as well as valuable hands-on research experience in the field of hypertension.
