The Department of Geography organized a field trip for its students to Failaka Island to explore its natural and human features. The trip lasted over 10 hours, during which the students examined the island's natural landmarks, such as sabkhas (salt flats) and various types of rock deposits. The trip also included a visit to the island’s archaeological sites, some of which date back to the era of Alexander the Great.
