Prof. Dr Alsharifa Hind Mohammad and Prof. Dr Khaldoun Shatanawi took part in the 4th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Hazard Management, held on 17–18 September 2025 at the Dead Sea, Jordan.
This prestigious conference, organized under the theme “Innovations and Strategies in Facing Disasters,” brought together leading researchers, scientists, and policymakers to discuss the latest applications of artificial intelligence in disaster risk reduction, early warning systems, and crisis response.
The event served as a vital platform for sharing knowledge, showcasing innovative technologies, and fostering collaboration among experts working at the intersection of AI, environment, and hazard management.
Prof. Dr. Alsharifa Hind Mohammad and Prof. Dr. Khaldoun Shatanawi contributed to the discussions by presenting research on the application of remote sensing and AI tools in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), emphasizing the role of smart technologies in enhancing resilience to climate and water-related hazards in Jordan and the region.
