Thair M. Al-Momani
M.Sc. Environmental Science and Management, University of Jordan (1995–1997)

Thair M. Al-Momani is an experienced professional with a robust background in environmental science and water resource management. He began his career as a research assistant at the Water and Environmental Research and Study Center at the University of Jordan (1998–2004). Since 2004, he has served in various capacities within the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, holding leadership roles such as:

• Director of Groundwater Monitoring Unit (April 2016 – September 2018), overseeing groundwater quality and quantity assessments.
• Director of Environment and Climate Change Directorate (October 2018 – March 2020), focusing on integrating climate change strategies into water resource management.
• Director of Water Basin Directorate (March 2020 – March 2023), managing water basin sustainability and allocation.

Currently, he serves as the Secretary General Assistant for Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (March 2023 – Present), where he leads technical initiatives, policy implementation, and strategic planning for water and environmental sustainability in Jordan.​
