Governmental Partners​

Ministry of Environment

The Ministry of Environment in Jordan is the government body responsible for protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development. It works to develop environmental policies, enforce regulations, and raise public awareness on issues such as pollution, climate change, biodiversity, and natural resource management. The Ministry also collaborates with national and international partners to ensure a healthy and balanced environment for current and future generations.

The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA)

The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) is an independent national regulatory body responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of food, drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics in Jordan. The JFDA works to protect public health by implementing strict standards, conducting inspections and laboratory testing, and regulating the import, export, manufacturing, and marketing of related products. It also plays a key role in public awareness and aligns its policies with international best practices to promote health and safety while supporting economic growth in the health sector.

National Agricultural Research Center (NARC)

is a governmental research institution in Jordan affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture. It was established to promote sustainable agricultural development and enhance agricultural productivity through scientific research, innovation, and the transfer of modern technologies to farmers.

The center focuses on finding scientific solutions to agricultural challenges in Jordan, such as water scarcity, soil degradation, and climate change. It conducts research programs in several fields, including:

  • Field and horticultural crops

  • Livestock production

  • Water and soil management

  • Biotechnology

  • Agricultural extension and technology transfer

NARC operates a network of research stations across Jordan representing different agro-ecological zones. It also collaborates with regional and international organizations to strengthen the agricultural sector and support national food security.
