INFOODS Success Story Award – FAO Dr. Najma Memon was awarded the INFOODS Success Story Award by the InterNetwork of Food Data Systems (INFOODS), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). This recognition was conferred in acknowledgment of her outstanding research entitled “Biological Activity Evaluation and Molecular Docking Studies of Newly Synthesized β-Ketoiminato-Based Palladium Complexes,” highlighting its scientific significance and contribution to the advancement of food and chemical data research.

Prof. Hatim Al-Khatib - Vitamin C Nanodispersion Eye Drop Formulation (PCT / International Patent)
Prof. Hatim Al-Khatib led pioneering research that culminated in the development and patenting of a novel topical eye drop formulation aimed at accelerating corneal wound healing. The patented innovation is based on solid-in-oil nanodispersions of vitamin C and its derivatives, effectively addressing challenges related to compound instability and limited tissue permeability. This advanced delivery system significantly enhances vitamin C penetration to the corneal tissue, thereby improving therapeutic efficacy. The invention was granted a PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) international patent application, and the underlying research findings were published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutics.
