Dr. Muneer Maher Alshater, Lecturer at Islamic Banking Department, has been awarded the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Researchers and Scientists 2023 in the field of economic and administrative sciences for his research on financial digital transformation.

Alshater's win for the Economic and Administrative Sciences Award came in recognition of his research and scholarly contributions in the field of financial technology and digital transformation. He has presented numerous studies and research papers in this domain, significantly contributing to its development and enhancement.

The award ceremony, organized by the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, was patronized by the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Azmi Mahafza, representing His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan. The event honoured the winners of the award.

Expressing his immense joy at receiving the award, Alshater considered it a significant achievement for himself, the University of Jordan, and his homeland, Jordan. He stated that the award would motivate him to continue his research journey and make further contributions in the field of Islamic finance, financial technology, and digital transformation.

Alshater added that the award reflects the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation's commitment to scientific research and its advancement in the Arab world.
