​Before joining Abu Dhabi University in 2019, Dr. Osama Atayah was Head of the Accounting Department in Al Qassim University, KSA, and the Emirates College of Technology. He has spent over half his career working in the professional finance field and, even now in academia, he continues his engagement in consulting. He teaches accounting at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including courses on advanced financial accounting, cost and managerial accounting, AIS, auditing, taxation, and computerized accounting. In the classroom, he uses his industry experience to link theory with practical application. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University for Banking and Financial Sciences, Jordan.​
