​Dr. Muneer Maher Alshater is an active researcher in the fields of Islamic finance, Macro-Finance, and financial technology. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Malaya (QS rank 59) and completed postdoctoral studies at the Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF). His scholarly output includes over 40 research papers published in top journals, with his work appearing in ABS-3 rated journals such as Energy Economics, Small Business Economics, International Review of Economics and Finance, European Finance Journal, Global Finance Journal, International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, among others. Dr. Alshater serves as a senior and associate editor for more than seven WOS and Scopus-indexed journals, including the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment, Qualitative Research in Financial Markets, ISRA Journal of Islamic Finance, and the International Journal of Ethics and Systems.

He has been recognized with awards like the Abdul Hameed Shoman Research Award, Emerald's Outstanding Author Contribution, and Best Paper awards at various leading conferences. Dr. Alshater has contributed significantly to the foundation of fintech programs in Jordan and has reviewed over 100 papers, a feat verified by Publons. He has delivered guest lectures at institutions such as Qatar University and Kuwait University.

In addition to his research, Dr. Alshater is involved in teaching, international relations, accreditation, curriculum development, consultancy, and training. He holds two master's degrees and professional certifications, including the Certified Shari'a Adviser and Auditor (CSAA), which underscore his comprehensive expertise in his field.​
