The research team’s initiatives went beyond serving the university to serving the local community, as they communicated with the King Hussein Cancer Center and held a meeting with the center’s management to coordinate further research opportunities and highlight the potential power of AI in the medical and healthcare fields. A workshop was organized, attended by interested researchers from the center, which contributed to raising awareness and directing focus towards the important role that AI plays in diagnosing diseases, intelligent patient monitoring, predictive analytics, and other advanced applications. This initiative was the cornerstone of an ongoing collaboration between the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, the King Hussein Cancer Center, and the University’s Faculty of Medicine, opening new horizons for possible research areas.
