​On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Dr. Diala conducted a professional development workshop for the teachers of Al-Salam Private Kindergarten titled “Educational Games in Early Childhood: Field-Based Applications.” The workshop aimed to deepen participants' understanding of play in early childhood by exploring its concept, significance, and the characteristics of effective educational games. Teachers were guided through criteria for selecting age-appropriate games and engaged in discussions around real-life applications of educational games designed specifically for the kindergarten stage. Each game was analyzed in terms of its objectives, design process, implementation rules, field applications—based on the experiences of Early Childhood Diploma students in their practicum—and its educational and developmental benefits. The session provided a rich blend of theory and practice, empowering teachers to adopt innovative, play-based approaches to early childhood education.
