Dr. Omar Abu Ghalyoun conducted an academic visit to the Korean Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE) with the aim of exploring Korea’s advanced experience in developing national curricula and large-scale assessment systems. The visit included learning about the mechanisms for constructing national tests, managing item banks, and ensuring the quality of measurement tools, in addition to reviewing models for leveraging data and educational analytics to support decision-making and improve learning outcomes. The visit also provided an opportunity to exchange expertise with specialists, discuss potential areas of collaboration, and benefit from leading international practices in developing assessment systems that align with quality standards and the digital transformation in education.
