About:
Dr. Jihad Al-Anati is an Associate Professor of Educational Measurement and Evaluation at the University of Jordan. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a "Very Good" rating and both a Master's and a PhD in Educational and Psychological Measurement and Evaluation with an "Excellent" rating. Dr. Al-Anati currently serves as the Deputy Dean for Administrative Affairs at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and as an expert in measurement and evaluation for the Ministry of Education in the National Framework for Student Learning Assessment project. He was a member of the Executive Council at the National Center for Curriculum Development until 2024 and a member of the Arabic Language Proficiency Test Committee at the Arabic Language Academy.
Dr. Al-Anati has conducted numerous training workshops for faculty members in measurement, evaluation, scientific research, and statistical analysis as part of continuous professional development programs at the University of Jordan. He has held various academic and administrative positions, including Assistant Professor at Taibah University in Saudi Arabia and the University of Jordan, Head of the Department of Educational Psychology, Director of the Center for Educational Research and Development, and Director of the Testing and Data Analysis Center (now the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning). He has also served on quality and program development committees, supervised numerous graduate theses and dissertations, and participated in their discussions locally and internationally.
His research interests focus on measurement, evaluation, monitoring, assessment, and quality assurance, and he has published more than twenty research papers in these fields. He is an expert in developing performance standards and indicators, question banks, electronic assessments, evaluation studies, and educational development research. Additionally, he has contributed to authoring mathematics and statistics textbooks and digitalizing curricula in Jordan and the Gulf region.
Dr. Al-Anati has worked as a consultant and expert for various local, regional, and international organizations, including UNICEF, UNESCO, RTI, TAP, ITG, NCHRD, Save the Children Jordan, Obeikan Company (Saudi Arabia), Smart Minds (UAE), Al-Arab Company (Saudi Arabia), the Queen Rania Foundation, the National Council for Family Affairs, and the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND).
He began his career as a mathematics teacher before progressing to educational supervision roles in Jordan and Oman. He later served as Head of Measurement and Evaluation, Director of Examinations, and Advisor to the Minister of Education in the field of measurement and evaluation.
