Bio: Dr. Loiy Al-Ghussain earned his Ph.D. in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2023. During his doctoral studies, he gained valuable experience as a Graduate Research Intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he contributed to advancements in renewable energy technologies. Currently, Dr. Al-Ghussain is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Argonne National Laboratory, a position he has held since August 2023. His research focuses on the techno-economic feasibility of PV/wind systems with various storage technologies, the development of stretchable and wearable sensors, and the use of uncrewed aircraft systems to study the atmospheric surface layer. His work reflects a strong commitment to innovation in renewable energy engineering and sustainable technology development.
