As part of its Economic Modernization Vision to future-proof its economy, Jordan is drafting and finalizing a ‘green hydrogen’ strategy. One core aim is to produce this hydrogen, which is manufactured by the electrolysis of water using only renewable electricity sources, for export to, especially, the European Union. But flaws in this strategy mean it should be urgently reviewed.​
