Dr. Amer A. Hasanien, PhD, RN, CNS, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing at the School of Nursing, The University of Jordan. He earned his PhD in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), with specialized training in electrocardiography, emergency care, and critical care nursing, and holds an MSN in Critical Care Nursing from the University of Jordan. Dr. Hasanien’s research focuses on QT interval dynamics, cardiac monitoring, emergency and critical care nursing, and arrhythmia-related outcomes, with publications in leading peer‑reviewed journals such as AACN Advanced Critical Care, Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing, and Nursing in Critical Care. According to Google Scholar, his work has received over 100 citations with an h‑index of 5, reflecting sustained scholarly impact in adult health and emergency nursing. He also holds national leadership roles in Jordan, including chairing emergency and adult critical care nursing committees, contributing to specialty accreditation and professional practice development.
