On behalf of the BioMed Materials: Design & Innovation Research Group at the University of Jordan, we are pleased to announce a recent collaborative step toward strengthening our research and innovation activities.
Dr. Yazan Al-Zain, together with group member Eng. Alhmad Alsoussi, held a productive meeting with Dr. Mahmoud Al-Fatafta, leader of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Healthcare Quality Research Group at the University of Jordan. The discussion centered around potential collaboration for applying to a new grant opportunity offered by the Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB), focusing on prosthesis research and development.
The meeting provided a platform to exchange ideas on how both groups’ expertise can complement each other to design high-impact, cost-effective solutions, and to explore how JODDB’s facilities and resources can support the proposed project. This collaboration represents an important milestone in bridging multidisciplinary expertise across materials science, biomedical engineering, and applied industrial research.
We look forward to jointly developing a competitive grant proposal that can contribute to advancing prosthesis technologies and benefit the healthcare sector in Jordan and beyond.
