Biomedical application of magnesium (Mg) alloys as biodegradable devices is widely investigated, but one of the key issues is to control their degradation property in the tissue. A microfocus X-ray computer tomography (μCT) is one of the methods to evaluate the degradation profile of the biodegradable devices especially on developmental processes. In this study, μCT was employed to estimate the volume of biodegradable scaffold with peak fitting on histogram data. Presented by Akiko Yamamoto.
