Prof. Mark J. Clayton Receives Prestigious Faculty Recognition

Prof. Mark J. Clayton has been awarded the J. Thomas Regan Interdisciplinary Faculty Prize by the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University. This distinction recognizes outstanding interdisciplinary scholarship and sustained contributions to advancing research and collaboration across fields.

In addition, Prof. Clayton holds the title of William M. Peña Endowed Professor of Information Management in the College of Architecture. This endowed professorship acknowledges his leadership and significant impact in the domain of information management within architectural research and education.

Prof. Izzat Alsmadi Honored with Texas A&M University Distinguished Faculty Award

Prof. Izzat Alsmadi has been awarded the Texas A&M University Distinguished Faculty Award in recognition of his exemplary academic contributions. The award reflects his excellence in teaching, impactful research, and dedicated service, with particular distinction in the field of cybersecurity education. His leadership in advancing innovative research and his strong commitment to student development have reinforced his influence within the university and the wider academic community. 


Prof. Izzat Alsmadi Receives National Recognition at the 2022 Community College Cyber Summit​

Prof. Izzat Alsmadi has been honored with the National Cybersecurity Student Association Chapter of the Year Award. He received this recognition during the 2022 Community College Cyber Summit (3CS), held May 23–25 in Dayton, Ohio.

Prof. Alsmadi serves as Associate Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Computing and Cyber Security at Texas A&M University–San Antonio. He holds both a Master’s degree and a PhD in Software Engineering from North Dakota State University and has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed conference and journal publications.

This achievement reflects his leadership in cybersecurity education and his sustained commitment to student engagement and academic excellence. 


Dr. Nancy Al-Assaf Delivers Keynote at Arch-AI 2024

Dr. Nancy Al-Assaf delivered a keynote lecture at the 7th Jordanian International Architectural Conference, “Architecture and Artificial Intelligence – Arch-AI,” organized by the Jordan Engineers Association / Architectural Engineering Branch and held on April 27–28, 2024, in Amman under the patronage of former Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh.

Her keynote, titled “Embracing the Future: AI in Architecture Education,” examined the integration of artificial intelligence in architectural pedagogy, its implications for design studios, and its impact on future professional competencies. In recognition of her contribution, Dr. Al-Assaf was honored by the conference organizers.


Dr. Muna Sulihat Honored for Contribution to the “Amman Stairs” Forum

Dr. Muna Sulihat, together with a group of students from the College of Archaeology and Tourism, was honored by the Dean of the College, Prof. Ismail Abu Amoud, and Eng. Mohammad Abu Zeitoun, Executive Director of the Amman Neighborhood Development and Tourist Trails Projects Directorate.

The recognition was awarded in appreciation of their contribution to the forum “Amman Stairs: The City of Historic Stairs,” held as part of the “Stair Tourism Forum Series” organized by the Greater Amman Municipality.​


Dr. Samah Rahamneh Recognized for Mentorship at the 12th National Technology Parade

Dr. Samah Rahamneh served as the supervisor for students Dina Abdel Salam and Lana Al-Samadi, who won first place in the E-Learning Technology category at the 12th National Technology Parade (NTP) at Al-Hussein Technical University.

Their project, “AI-Based Registration Recommendation System for Computer Engineering Students,” was acknowledged for its innovation and practical applicability, reflecting Dr. Rahamneh’s role in guiding and supporting student research in applied technology.
