Our research group benefits from diverse resources contributed by its members and their affiliated institutions. To support our investigations into dental restorative materials, we have applied for funding from the Deanship of Scientific Research at the University of Jordan.

Our team is well-equipped to study dental restorative materials, focusing on their mechanical properties, the impact of various storage media, and the effects of bleaching agents. The resources available include:

Laboratories and Advanced Equipment

  • Materials Laboratory: Located at the University of Manchester, this state-of-the-art facility enables comprehensive testing of material properties such as strength, hardness, and elasticity. Equipment includes tensile testing machines and hardness testers.
  • Microscopy Laboratory: Equipped with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to analyze the microstructure of restorative materials, providing valuable insights into their performance and durability.
  • SESAME (Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East): Access to this advanced facility enhances our ability to conduct high-level experimental research.

Specialized Software

  • Statistical Analysis Software: We utilize advanced tools such as SPSS, Prism GraphPad, and R for robust data analysis, ensuring accurate interpretation and conclusions.
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Software: Used for creating detailed 3D models of restorative materials, which helps evaluate performance prior to practical experimentation.

These combined resources position our research group to conduct thorough and impactful investigations into dental restorative materials.
