The UJ-CF Research Group at the University of Jordan strongly emphasizes the importance of students engagement in research, fostering an environment where both graduate and undergraduate students actively contribute to advancing knowledge on cystic fibrosis (CF).
The group collaborates closely with the student group at the university of Jordan named the Gastroenterology Interest Group (GIG), providing students with hands-on experience in ongoing projects related to CF care, epidemiology, and genetics. The students' research section at UJ-GIG includes: Nada Odeh, Noor Al-Assaf, Moahmmed Zoubi, and Laith Theeb. Under the supervsiion of Dr Montaha Al-Iede, the UJ-CF group is currently finalizing the project entitled : Clinical Characteristics of Children with Cystic Fibrosis: Analysis from aTertiary Care Center in Jordan.
Among the UJ-CF group members, two postgraduate students—a pediatric resident, Dr Dana Marie, and a pediatric pulmonary fellow , Dr Delal Qatawna—play a key role in research activities, bringing clinical insights to the group's investigations. Through these collaborative efforts, the UJ-CF Research Group aims to inspire the next generation of researchers while making meaningful contributions to CF science and patient care.
