UJ-CF Research Group Participates in MECFA's Nutritional Intervention Workshop in Istanbul

The University of Jordan Cystic Fibrosis Research Group (UJ-CF) recently took part in an important regional workshop organized by the Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association (MECFA) in Istanbul, Turkey. The event focused on nutritional interventions for children with cystic fibrosis, a vital aspect of improving health outcomes in CF care.

Our group was represented by Shatha Al Khalaileh, RD, a pediatric dietitian at Jordan University Hospital (JUH), who participated actively in the one-day workshop. The program included a rich series of lectures and hands-on training sessions addressing the nutritional management of children with CF across different degrees of malnutrition.

It is worth noting that MECFA has selected JUH as one of the official centers for the implementation of a Quality Improvement Project aimed at enhancing the nutritional status of children with cystic fibrosis in Jordan.
