Dr Montaha Al-Iede and Dr Delal AlQatawna from the University of Jordan Cystic Fibrosis Research Team recently held a productive meeting with the Head of Non-Communicable Diseases at the Ministry of Health, Dr Somaya​, and her associate Dr Sameer Najjar,  to discuss advancements in the care of cystic fibrosis (CF) in Jordan. A key focus of the discussion was the CF national registry, which was successfully completed in 2022, providing valuable insights into the prevalence, management, and outcomes of CF patients in the country. The meeting underscored the importance of enhancing CF care services and utilizing registry data to guide policy improvements and resource allocation. As part of ongoing efforts, the team aims to release an updated report on CF in Jordan earlier this spring, incorporating the latest patient data and recommendations to further strengthen national strategies for CF management.​
