The University of Jordan Cystic Fibrosis Research Group (UJ-CF Research Group), in collaboration with the Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association (MECFA), had the honor of visiting Jordan University Hospital to discuss ongoing and future initiatives. Key topics of the meeting included strengthening the services provided to children with cystic fibrosis, particularly following the hospital's enrollment in the MECFA-led quality improvement initiative aimed at enhancing nutritional care for CF patients. Discussions also focused on the importance of multidisciplinary care at Jordan University Hospital and addressed the critical issue of transitioning care from pediatric to adult physicians for adolescents with cystic fibrosis.
The meeting was attended by distinguished members of the UJ-CF Research Group, including representatives from Harvard University, the University of Utah, and healthcare professionals from Boston Children's Hospital. Their presence reflected the strong international commitment to advancing cystic fibrosis care, research, and education in Jordan.
