The University of Jordan Cystic Fibrosis Research Group (UJ-CF Research Group), in collaboration with the Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association (MECFA), had the honor of visiting the Ministry of Health. During the visit, the team met with Dr. Raed Shboul, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care and Epidemics.

The meeting focused on enhancing cystic fibrosis (CF) care across Jordan. Key topics discussed included the ongoing supply of essential CF medications and the introduction of new CF therapies, particularly CFTR modulators, which represent a major advancement in treatment options.

The UJ CF Research Group and MECFA expressed their commitment to working closely with the Ministry to ensure that children and adults living with CF in Jordan have access to the latest and most effective treatments.

This collaboration marks an important step forward in improving the quality of life and healthcare outcomes for CF patients nationwide.​
