Jordan University Hospital (JUH) has been selected by the Global CF Care Initiative, led by Dr. Uluer at Harvard University and Boston Children's Hospital, as one of the centers for a pilot study on nutritional assessment in children with cystic fibrosis (CF). This study aims to stratify CF patients based on their nutritional risk, using key parameters such as weight, height, and body mass index (BMI) to categorize them into different risk levels. Based on this classification, personalized nutritional interventions will be implemented to optimize growth, improve health outcomes, and enhance overall CF management. This selection reflects the dedication and commitment of the UJ-CF Research Group members to improving pediatric CF care, particularly in the areas of nutrition and disease management. It highlights their ongoing efforts to integrate global best practices into CF care in Jordan, ensuring that children receive the highest quality of support and medical attention.
