The UJ-CF Research Group participated in the scientific night organized by the Jordanian Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (JOSPGHAN), in collaboration with the Jordan Pediatric Pulmonary Group and the Jordan Pediatric Society. The event was held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in partnership with the Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association (MECFA).
Members of the UJ-CF group delivered several informative presentations during the evening, which addressed a range of important topics. These included a historical overview of cystic fibrosis (CF) in Jordan, respiratory manifestations and their complications, and the role of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy in CF management. The speakers also highlighted the latest CF treatments now available in Jordan, while underscoring the significance of a multidisciplinary, integrative care approach to enhance patient outcomes.
The event was marked by a distinguished attendance of pediatricians and witnessed active engagement with the presented topics, reflecting a growing national interest in improving CF care.
It is worth noting that the MECFA launched an initiative in Jordan several years ago to enhance the quality of health services provided to CF patients, through strategic partnerships with civil society organizations committed to healthcare improvement.
