Dr. Peter Wigmore graduated in Biology from Aberdeen University and then went to the veterenary college in Edinburgh to do a PhD on muscle growth in pigs. He is an Associate Professor of Anatomy & Neuroanatomy,School of life sciences .Nottingham university . UK.
His current research is on the generation of new neurons in the adult brain in the process of adult neurogenesis. Peter is particularly interested in the role these new cells have in the process of memory in the hippocampus and the impact of drugs and exercise on the rate of neurogenesis.
