The ministry works toward promoting and enabling economic and social growth within digital landscape. As the work of our group focuses on human security, social challenges and digitization, sharing our research results with interested parties at the ministry would contribute to the process of raising awareness of the importance of the role of digitization in dealing with social issues in our communities.
- Jordan Academy of Arabic, Jordan
The academy held its first Jordanian International conference on Arabic Language in the Age of Artificial Intelligence 2023. The tremendous developments in information technology and computing, and the resulting advancements in the field of artificial intelligence contributed to the rationale for focusing on this topic.
The Academy has recognized this new era; in 2009, it established a permanent committee called the "Arabic Language and Information Technology Committee." In 2019, in partnership with the Jordanian National Committee for the Advancement of the Arabic Language towards a Knowledge Society, it issued a guide to Arabic language computing research.
The interest shown in the importance of digital transformation in educational practices and in dealing with Arabic language leads to common interests with our research group, two members of which are experts in Arabic language and literature.
Our collaboration with the private sector is significant in the progress of our research and enhancing its influence.
In order to achieve its objects and through its activities and services, the center undertakes the task of creating an integrated awareness system for individuals and institutions and developing scientific research capabilities in all aspects of cyber security through the various services it provides. The research theme of our group, with its three eminent experts in IT and AI, considers cyber security among the challenges to human security in the era of digitization. Hence, our upcoming research can contribute and be of great relevance to the scientific research conducted by center.
The vision of the ministry is directed towards maintaining national security, interacting with civil society institutions and following up projects and developmental plans. This can be realized through attaining the concept of comprehensive security to protect public freedoms and to save the lives and properties of citizens. This agenda is closely related to the research line of our research group as human security in action is about attaining social, political, environmental and economic conditions conducive to life in freedom and dignity. Respect for human rights is an integral and indispensable component of human security. In our digital age, addressing these challenges is in itself a challenge that poses both benefits and threats that is the theme of our research group.
There is a clear and distinct relation between human security and education. To have human security is essential for achieving development through education, so that people can unleash their potential, provide for their livelihood, practice their rights and exercise their duties. A fine educational system is one of the best means to disseminate the concept of human security and to build awareness of the widespread and universal nature of that concept through its various curricula. Hence, the educational sector is represented in our group by the Head of the Professional Development Programs Examinations Center, and senior Computer Engineer at the Ministry of Education. He believes that technological tools alone is insufficient for fostering innovation. Instead he focusses on analyzing challenges and opportunities through SWOT analysis as a foundational intellectual framework, ensuring a genuine understanding that addresses the needs of current and future generations. His membership in our research group is an advantage.
