On Sunday, 13 July 2025, Dr. Amal Abuanzeh took part in the Conference on Dialogue Regarding Alternatives to Detention and Alternatives to Custodial Penalties in Light of the 2025 Amendments to the Penal Code: Impact on Society and Restorative Justice.

The event was held at the Fairmont Hotel, Amman, organized by the Karama Team, in partnership with DIGNITY – Danish Institute Against Torture, and sponsored by the Ministry of Justice, the Embassy of Switzerland, and other partners.

Dr. Abuanzeh’s participation highlights the group’s engagement in national dialogues on justice reform, restorative justice, and innovative approaches to criminal law.
