​Dr Ala'a Azzam is an Assistant Professor at the Business School- University of Jordan. Dr Azzam specializes in corporate governance, knowledge management and innovation. She earned her PhD in Business Management from Durham University Business School and holds both an MBA and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Jordan, graduating with distinction. In terms of teaching qualification, she is a Fellow of Advance HE. Dr. Azzam has taught a range of business modules, including Corporate Governance, Entrepreneurship, and Business Ethics. Her research focuses on the impact of board dynamics and executive characteristics on R&D investments, with publications in leading academic journals such as the International Review of Financial Analysis, Corporate Governance, Journal of Financial Reporting & Accounting, Strategic Change, and Finance Research Letters. ​
