Dr. Rawan AlHeresh is an esteemed occupational therapy scientist, educator, and advocate with over 20 years of experience in rehabilitation sciences and public health. Dr. AlHeresh is the Chair of the Cochrane Rehabilitation at University of Jordan Research Group. Dr. AlHeresh completed her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences from Boston University, a master's degree from Brunel University in West London, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Jordan. She has held academic positions in prestigious institutions in the Middle East, the USA, and the UK, including a professorship at the MGH Institute of Health Professions.
Dr. AlHeresh is the founder and director of 'Toward an All-Inclusive Jordan,' a pioneering initiative that partners with academic and community groups to promote access to rehabilitation for underserved communities. She has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers and presentations and has been a significant force in mentoring students and advancing academic and community programs. Now based back in Amman, Dr. AlHeresh is a leading figure in creating online educational content in Arabic, addressing the gap in resources available for graduate students and junior researchers in the Arab world.
