At the University of Jordan, the Empowering Teachers: 21st Century Skills research group is dedicated to advancing teacher education through innovation, digital transformation, and global-minded pedagogy. Our research explores the integration of 21st-century skills—such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy—into teacher preparation programs. We design and evaluate professional development models that foster adaptive, student-centered teaching, while also investigating teachers' self-efficacy and readiness to implement innovative practices. Our work delves into building digital competence, leveraging artificial intelligence in education, and promoting global citizenship and digital ethics.
