Dr. Aya Al-Jazi is a certified speech-language pathologist with expertise in speech, language, swallowing, and feeding disorders. She holds a BSc in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Jordan, an MSc in Speech and Cleft Science from the University of Sheffield, and a Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University.
Aya is the founder of Seeds of Hope clinic, dedicated to providing equitable and high-quality speech-language therapy services. The clinic empowers individuals with communication challenges to actively engage in their communities and improve their quality of life.In 2019, Aya joined Abdali Hospital as Director of the Speech & Swallow Unit. Before fully committing to Seeds of Hope in 2016, she worked clinically for 10 years and lectured at the University of Jordan for 4 years.
Aya has pioneered speech-language therapy services in schools, ensuring students with communication difficulties receive vital support. Her interests include inclusion, Down Syndrome, Apraxia of Speech, cleft speech disorders, and swallowing disorders.
