​Crossing borders, whether physical or cultural, is a process which paves the way for social connection and cultural exchange. In a diasporic context, crossing borders helps foster a better understanding of  the difficulties cultural and ethnic minorities  go through and to help make cross-cultural interaction smoother and healthier. By studying the literary works produced by Arab diasporic writers, CADLS aims to underscore the fundamental role voicing the experiences of Arabs living in diaspora plays in building bridges of connection and understanding between different cultures.
