The Quran clearly states that humans are all equal in their humanity. Members of CALDS believe that humans are linked to each other by common heritage and by economic, social, or political activity. Each individual has universal and equal worth and dignity because they belong to the human species, not because they belong to any particular religion, tribe, nation, state, or station. We see in differences among humans a broader manifestation of our common essence and humanity. We believe that there are universal values that should be appreciated and upheld.
