In celebration of World Health Day, the American Cancer Society (ACS) Journals have spotlighted an outstanding publication authored by Dr. Malik Juweid and colleagues, titled "Beyond Fluorodeoxyglucose: Molecular Imaging of Cancer in Precision Medicine," published in CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians.

This landmark review explores advanced molecular imaging approaches in oncology, highlighting radiotracers beyond the widely used FDG, such as PSMA ligands, somatostatin receptor agents, FAPI, and CXCR4-targeted imaging. The paper emphasizes the pivotal role of molecular imaging in advancing precision medicine and improving cancer diagnosis, staging, and treatment monitoring.
