​Dr. Tasneem Hiasat is a hydrogeologist and water policy advisor with extensive expertise in groundwater resource management, hydrogeochemistry, and water governance. She holds a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Jordan (2020) and has over a decade (14 years) of experience in water-related projects. Dr. Hiasat currently serves as a Water Policy Advisor, where she provides strategic guidance on national water policies and program development. She previously worked with the German Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR), contributing to key projects on groundwater vulnerability, wellfield management, and water protection guidelines.

In addition to her professional experience, Dr. Hiasat has served as a part-time lecturer at the University of Jordan, teaching undergraduate courses. She has authored numerous technical reports and publications on hydrogeology, groundwater quality, and environmental monitoring. With a multidisciplinary background spanning policy, technical, and academic domains, Dr. Hiasat plays a crucial role in advancing sustainable water resource management in Jordan and the wider region.​​
