Research Activity with UnderGraduate Students
1) Medical and Pharmacy Students at JU are engaged in hands-on research activities
Under the supervision of Dr. Lina and research Assistant Maha, medical students; (Yousef Zayed, Qais, Leen Alhadidi) and Pharmacy students (Moa'ath Khadra, Lama AlTakrori) are engaged in hands-on research activities to deepen their understanding of bioanalysis and biomarker discovery. These activities include performing SDS-PAGE for protein separation, metabolite extraction and protein depletion. Students use techniques such as 1D gel electrophoresis, biphasic liquid extraction and biochemical assays. This practical research experience not only enhances their technical skills but also fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
2) 12th Training Program by Pharmacy Scientific Research Club (PSRC)
Dr. Lina Dahabieh was invited to deliver a talk entitled “Introduction to Scientific Research" at the12 th Pharmacy Students' Research Training Program 2024/2025 organized by the Pharmacy Scientific Research Club (PSRC) from September 28- October 3 rd 2024 at the School of Medicine.
3) Medical Students at JU Explore New Avenues for Metabolomics Research
Under the mentorship of Dr. Lina and Dr. Shereen medi cal students; (Yousef Zayed, Ahmad Ali Musa, Leen Alhadidi, Mohammad khashman) are embarking on a journey to unravel the principle of metabolomics and its implications for healthcare. Through hands-on laboratory work, literature review, and data analysis and interpretation they are gaining invaluable insights into the molecular underpinnings of various physiological processes and diseases including cystic fibrosis and age related disorders.
4) 11th Training Program by Pharmacy Scientific Research Club (PSRC)
Dr. Shereen Aleidi and Dr. Lina Dahabieh were invited to speak about scientific research and scientific writing at 11th Eleventh Pharmacy Students' Research Training Program 2023/2024 organized by the PSRC.
5) Research Workshop Scientific Research from A to Z, 2023
Dr. Shereen Aleidi and Dr. Lina Dahabieh were invited to speak about variouse disipline related to scientific research during the Scientifc Research from A to Z organised by Lijan Aldofaat at the school of Pharmacy, JU
