The Bioanalysis Laboratory at the School of Pharmacy, University of Jordan, is well-equipped to support a wide range of research activities in biochemical analysis and biomarker discovery, and molecular biology.

The facility houses essential infrastructure including

  1. a laminar flow cabinet, fume hood, and autoclave for sterile and safe handling of biological samples.
  2. A CO₂ incubator, an inverted microscope, and liquid nitrogen storage Dewars for cell culture and biochemical experiments
  3.  A -80°C deep Freeze to store and preserve various biological samples
  4. A Gel Electrophoresis and Western Blot system, a Refrigerated centrifuge, a thermo mixer, and orbital shaker to support molecular biology applications.
  5. Analytical Balance
  6. Multiscan Microplate Reader (Multiskan) to facilitate enzyme assays, cell viability testing, and ELISA-based quantification
  7. A concentrator to dry metabolite and peptide extracts for metabolomics and proteomics studies.
  8. Solid Phase Extraction Manifolds for protein fractionation and selective metabolite extraction
  9. Vortex Systems with various accessories
